Classiq Expands Executive Team with Key Business Development and Marketing Hires
Company Taps Industry Veterans Shai Lev and Yuval Boger to Harness Global Excitement About its Quantum Algorithm Design Software
Tel-Aviv, Israel - [July 7, 2021] - Classiq, creators of the Quantum Algorithm Design Platform, announced today the appointment of Shai Lev as head of business development and partnerships, and Yuval Boger as chief marketing officer. With extensive international business, technology, and marketing experience, Lev and Boger will help scale the company’s activities as it continues to experience unprecedented interest in its quantum software platform.
“The extensive backgrounds and proven success of Shai and Yuval will be incredible assets as Classiq engages with customers, partners, media and analysts,” said Nir Minerbi, co-founder and CEO. “Having completed a critical phase in the development of our platform, we see tremendous opportunity to help companies build quantum algorithms that were previously impossible to design. Shai and Yuval will play an instrumental role in increasing awareness and demand for Classiq’s solution across the rapidly expanding quantum computing ecosystem.”
Built on decades of experience in computer-aided design, computer science and quantum physics, the Classiq platform makes it simple to create complex quantum circuits. The company’s patented technology ingests high-level models built by users and the constraints they wish to meet, and automatically synthesizes an optimized quantum circuit for any universal gate-based quantum hardware. Leading customers use the platform to solve real-life problems on today’s computers and tomorrow’s scaled-up machines. The Classiq platform’s ability to scale up is unique in the marketplace. Programming at the gate level will quickly become impractical when quantum computers reach hundreds, thousands or even a greater number of qubits.
Lev joins Classiq from PlanetWatchers, a company leveraging synthetic aperture radar to provide reliable, accurate and efficient analysis on a global scale. Since 2018, he has served as the organizer of Qubit - the Israeli quantum computing community. Previously, he held senior executive roles at media, energy and real-estate businesses. He holds dual degrees in business and law from IDC Herzelia and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
“I am incredibly excited to be part of Classiq’s team as we seek to upgrade quantum algorithm developers from gate-level to higher, more productive levels of work,” said Lev.
Boger is a technology pioneer, having served as CEO and CMO for frontier-tech companies from the seed stage to NASDAQ. He led business and product development programs that generated more than $200 million in revenue across a variety of fields from ophthalmology to wireless power, from enterprise software to virtual reality. He is a Talpiot graduate and holds dual master’s degrees in business and physics from Northwestern Kellogg and Tel-Aviv University.
“The work of Nir and Classiq’s fantastic technical team have created dramatic breakthroughs in the ability to solve complex problems with quantum computing,” said Boger. “I am thrilled to join Classiq at this stage and help share our story with the world.”
